Every AI company now offers a chat assistant with file uploads, web browsing, voice and some form of agent. The differences show up in the details of real work.

The tasks we used

Writing a customer email in English and Swahili, summarising a 40 page tender document, building a simple cash flow spreadsheet, and drafting a week of social media posts from a product photo.

What we found

ChatGPT remains the most complete all rounder with the widest set of integrations and the best image generation. Claude produced the most careful long documents and handled the tender summary with fewer errors, and it is the assistant most developers reach for. Gemini is the obvious pick if your business runs on Google Workspace, because it reads your Gmail, Drive and Docs directly.

Swahili performance

All three handle Swahili well enough for customer messages. None should be trusted for legal or contract language without a human reading the output.

Our recommendation

Pick the one that lives where your work already lives. Pay for one, not three, and revisit in six months because the gap between them keeps closing.
